Eugene Philip Robare, 80, of Willsboro passed away Sunday November 1, 2015 at UVM Medical center in Burlington, Vt.. He was born in Keeseville on August 15, 1935 son of the late William and Exzelda (Barber) Robare.
Gene attended Keeseville School. He was in the US Navy from 1953-1956. Gene was a laborer from 1966 to 2013 in the Laborer’s Union Local #186 in Plattsburgh. He was self-employed as a mason. Gene was well known for his stone work in the area.
Gene is survived by his wife Harriet, his children; Sandra Reid, Randy and Willy Robare, his siblings; Sherwood, Wayne, Jennie, Shirley and June, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter Susan, a brother Dick and a sister Theresa.
Calling hours will be from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Wednesday November 4, 2015 at Marvin-Heald Funeral Home, 7521 Court Street in Elizabethtown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 AM Thursday November 5, 2015 at St. Philip of Jesus Church in Willsboro. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
