Ethel M. Dick, 86, of Beekman Street and formerly of Chazy, past away Thursday May 22, 2014 at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born on April 9, 1928 in Chazy to the late John and Florence (Bell) Parrott.
Ethel was known as the first woman owned Barber shop in the state of New Hampshire. She also worked for Centronics in Hudson New Hampshire for several years. Ethel moved to Chazy and worked as a school bus driver for the Chazy Rural Central School for many years.
She is survived by one daughter Catherine Wilt and her husband Anthony of Columbia, TN., and a granddaughter Paula Wilt of Columbia, TN.. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Sgt 1st Class Myron G. Dick, who passed away in Korea as a prisoner of war.
Calling hours will be Monday May 26, 2014 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Heald Funeral Home, 48 Court Street, Plattsburgh. A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday May 27 at 11:00 AM in the Ingraham Cemetery in Ingraham.
