Elnora H. Welch

March 18, 1925 — March 22, 2014

Elnora (Ellie) Welch, 89, of 11 Holland Avenue, Plattsburgh NY and
most recently Village At Westerville, Westerville Ohio, passed away
March 22, 2014 at Mount Carmel St. Ann's Hospital in Westerville Ohio
under the care of Hospice. She was born in St. Louis, Mo. on March
18, 1925 the daughter of Charles and Frances Harris. She graduated
from Lucy Flower Technical High School in Chicago Il. She married
Lloyd Welch in 1946. Her first job was doing promotional sales for
Peter Pan. Later she was a cook manager at Bailey Avenue School for
more than 25 years until her retirement in 1988. She was a member of
American Legion Post 1619. She loved her flower gardens and cooking
for everyone. Loved traveling with her family and going to casinos.
She will be greatly missed. Elnora was predeceased by her parents,
her husband, her brother Charles Harris, and infant daughter Mary
Welch. She is survived by her daughter Patricia Jung and her husband
Dr. Michael Jung of Westerville Ohio, and son William Welch and his
wife Bonnie of Plattsburgh NY. She is also survived by her sister
Dorothy Ziegler, of Chicago Ill, and sister in law, Margaret Welch,
of New Jersey and 4 grandchildren, Sarah Jung of Westerville, Ohio,
Matthew Welch of Plattsburgh NY, Katie Welch of Clifton Park, NY and
David Jung of Nashville, Tn. There will be no calling hours. A
graveside service will be held at Riverside Cemetery, Plattsburgh NY
at the convenience of the family at a later date. Arrangements have
been entrusted to Heald Funeral Home, 48 Court street, Plattsburgh.
