Elaine Lila Buxton

Elaine was born to Orville and Rena Smith on August 14, 1942, in Keene, NY, where she was raised. Later living in many locations around New York and Vermont, as well as a short period in New Hampshire & Florida.
On June 13, 2020 Elaine left this earthly plain to join her loved ones, who had gone before her, including her husband Bud (Merrill F.) Buxton; whom she wed on September 23, 1979, in Kingsland, GA. Her parents Orville & Rena, her sister Evelyn, her brothers Sonny, Hank, Burton, Reggie & Leroy, her granddaughter Jennarene and several other family members.
Those she left here to carry on her memories include; her baby sister JoAnn, her sons Rick, Dan & Jeff, her daughters Kathy & Jodi, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many others.
Elaine will be remembered for many things… Among them is her love for family, crocheting & knitting and sharing her view of life events, through her written poetry. She was a strong and determined woman, with a fighting spirit and will be missed by many.
Arrangements Have been entrusted to Heald Funeral Home, in Elizabethtown, NY. A graveside dedication and remembrance will be held 1:00 PM, Monday June 29, 2020 at the Norton Cemetery in Keene, NY and all are welcome!
