On Wednesday, February 17th 2021 Edith L Staley, 87 of Morrisonville was called home. She was born on May 25th, 1933 in Cadyville, Ny to the late George B and Anna Mae (Decker) Johnson.
Edith joins her late sisters Peanut (Martha Roy) and Lib (Elizabeth Rizzie Adams). She also joins her husband Richard W Staley, Their 3 sons Kirby N, Earl J, and LaVerne E as well as several special grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Edith is survived by their 7 remaining children : Richard A Staley Sr and wife Evelyn of Dannemora, Wayne Staley Sr and wife Meredith of Saranac, Randal Staley Sr and wife Carol of Morrisonville, Alden (joe) Staley and wife April of Morrisonville, Sandra Staley Rock and her husband Raney of Plattsburgh, Bonnie Staley Boyea of Malone, and Jessica Staley Williams and her husband Sandy of Morrisonville. She is also survived by her brother Robert Johnson and his wife Anna of Cadyville and a sister Helen Whitney and her husband Richard of Lake Placid. Edith also leaves 26 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren, 11 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Edith was a school bus driver for Saranac school district for over 20 years and was an avid lover of the outdoors!
She is gone from our eyes, but forever in our hearts!
There will be no calling hours. A memorial service and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
