Edith Katherine Cline

Elizabethtown – Edith Katherine Cline, 74, of 44 Lawrence Way, #7, died at UVM Medical Center in Burlington, VT due to complications during heart surgery on Tuesday April 20, 2021.
Edith was born in Amsterdam NY on May 18, 1946 to Ralph C. and Mary P. (Beyer) Bramer. She married William G. Cline on October 4, 1964 and had 3 children Todd, Gerald (Gerry) and Colleen (Kelly).
Edith moved to Lewis, NY July 1973 raising her family. Edith and her family raised and sold AKC Registered Samoyeds. She showed the beautiful dogs throughout the east coast. She first worked at Andre’s Truck Stop, then she was a bookkeeper for Independent Cement Company. She loved participating in her homestead life in Lewis, NY. She also worked for Essex County Cooperative Extension for the 4-H Program. Through her years working for CCE she formed many friendships with 100’s of families in Essex County. She became a 4-H Leader and taught many projects. Edith was a member of the CVMHA for many years helping organize the Morgan horse show. She and her family raised and showed their Morgan Horses throughout New York and Vermont.
Edith was also a bookkeeper for American Safety Products, Haselton Lumber Company Inc, Essex County DPW and Essex County Treasurers office before moving to South Carolina, Oklahoma and Florida before coming back to the North Country in 2014.
Edith earned her Applied Science Associates Degree from North Country Community College in 1986.
Her passion was socializing, quilting, NASCAR, Politics and family. She made many beautiful quilts over the years. For anyone who knew Edith, she is someone you would not forget. Edith was determined and full of spunk.
Edith is survived by her son Todd (Holly) Cline Cushing, OK and Colleen (Kevin) Denton Lewis NY, Grandchildren, Mark (Whitney) Denton, Heather (Owen) Martin, Matthew (Olivia) Legacy, Rachelle and Roger Cline, Veronica Byers, Mel DeFlorio, Daisy Moore and Maggie Raymond. Great Grand Children Julia, Kerri, Alyssa and Doe Denton, Emberly Bodette, Dani, Eric, Kennedi and Jones Legacy, Alexis and Cameron Moore, Isabel DeFlorio and Arjay and Harper Raymond. Siblings Esther Hutchison and Cheryl Wood, Daughter in law Vickie Cline and many nieces and nephews. Edith is predeceased by Parents Ralph and Mary Bramer, son Gerald Cline, siblings Lee Bramer, Edward Bramer, Gladys Milonovich and Elsie Johnson, Sister-in-Law Betty Bramer, Brother in laws Hugh Hutchinson, John Wood.

There are no calling hours as her request to donate her organs to science. There will be a Celebration of Life at 1:00 PM May 22, 2021 at the home of her daughter and son in law Colleen and Kevin Denton, 170 Redmond Road, Lewis, NY 12950. Potluck lunch.
