Earle Stewart “Shim” Dougan

Earle Stewart Dougan (Shim) passed away on August 11, 2022at Meadowbrook Nursing Home after a long illness at the age of 88 years old. He was born on February 6, 1934 to Earle and Elizabeth Dougan in Elizabethtown, NY.
He is survived by his wife, Susan of 64 years and his children Pamela Hutchins, Skip Dougan, Debbie Olsen, Kathleen Robertson, and MaryJane Viens. His grandchildren, Jamie Dougan, Michael Dougan, Kevin Hutchins, Carrie Pryor, Nicole Pierce, Jimmy Pierce, Samantha Doran, Abbey Cramer, Evan Viens, Keragan Viens, and MatteaViens. His great grandchildren, Kayleigh, Amelia, Sadie, Maura, Teddy, Nolan, Raena, and Brooklyn. He is also survived by his sister, Diane Wallace, his brother in law, Stanley Steves, his brother and sister in law, Leo and Carolyn Smith, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Shim was well known throughout the community and enjoyed playing cards with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all.
A celebration of life will be held at the Wooden Nickel at 1pm on Monday August 15, 2022.
