Donald A. Pulsifer

Donald "Donnie" A. Pulsifer, 62 of Rt. 9 Elizabethtown, NY passed away on July, 26 2016 at Fletcher Allen Health Care with his family by his side.
Donnie was born on January 29, 1954 in Plattsburgh, NY. He married his high school sweetheart right after high school. They were married for 39 years. They enjoyed gardening together and vacationing in South Carolina. They loved to watch the sunrise and over the ocean.
Donnie was an avid outdoorsman. He planned fishing trips every year on his vacations. He enjoyed spending time with his son on the water and in the woods. He was looking forward to passing on his knowledge and love for the outdoors to his grandson. One of his favorite places was at his hunting camp.
Donnie worked for the Essex County DPW from 1988 until his retirement in 2010. He enjoyed playing practical jokes on his co workers.
Donnie was known by many for his generosity towards others. He was always helping others and never expected anything in return. He would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need. He will be greatly missed by many, he touched so many lives.
He is survived by his daughter Chrissy and her husband, Joe Olsen of Elizabethtown; his son Don Jr. and his wife, Sarah Pulsifer; and his "Pride and Joy" grandson, Tristen Charles Pulsifer of Lewis, two brothers, Jerry and his wife Cindy Pulsifer of Elizabethtown, Ron Pulsifer of Dover, NH, two sisters, Jane Simpson of Lewis, Anna and her husband, James Mayhood of Mineville, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Donnie was predeceased by his beloved wife, Anne (Mousseau) Pulsifer, father Donald Pulsifer and mother, Agnes (Joy) Pulsifer.
Calling hours will be from 9:00 Am to 11:00 AM, Friday July 29, 2016 at Heald Funeral Home, 7521 Court Street, Elizabethtown.
