Donald J. LaPier

Donald J LaPier 85, of Vassar road in Altona, passed away Monday, February 13, 2023 at CVPH. He was born in Chazy, NY on March 29, 1937. He was the son of the late Walter and Laura (Brown) LaPier.
Donald was a well-known logger known as “Mountain Dew” for most of his life. He enjoyed gardening, puzzles, camping, and long drives to Tahawus.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 65 years, Gail (Terpstra) LaPier, his children Donna (Jim) Gogg, Andy (Karen) LaPier, Deborah (Dave) Defayette, Paula LaPier, Judy LaPier, Charlie (Penny) LaPier, and Marvin (Rose) LaPier; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his son Walter LaPier and his daughter Julie LaPier.
