Donald N. Favro , 81, of Plattsburgh, passed away Thursday morning December 27, 2012 at CVPH with his loving family by his side. Donald was born in Plattsburgh on January 19, 1931 son of the late Noel and Evelyn (LaPointe) Favro. He graduated from Mount Assumption Institute in 1949 and retired from AT & T as a business technician. Donald was a member of American Legion, Knights of Columbus, NY Telephone Company Pioneers, North Country Corvette Club, Champlain Valley Classic Cruisers Club and avid volunteer of Knights of Columbus and American Legion bingo workers. He was a parishioner of St. Peter’s Church. He enjoyed collecting antique telephones and insulators, Nascar memorabilia, playing golf, entering antique car shows and holding family get togethers at his pool. Don loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and always looked forward to spending time with them. First thing in the morning was Coffee, with the “Coffee Group” which became a daily routine . On January 20, 1951 he married Esther Rabideau at St. Peter’s Church and had four wonderful children, Gary (Debra) Favro, Bonnie (Anthony) Biondolilo, Linda (James ) Keable and David ( Lori ) Favro. He was blessed with ten grandchildren, Matthew (Sarah ) Favro, Mark (Kristen ) Favro, Anthony (Josephine ) Biondolilo , Nicole (Ciro) Donniacuo, Jason (Amber) Keable, Joshua (Hannah) Keable, Adam ( Elizabeth) Favro, Amanda (Thomas) Rogers, Andrew Favro and eight great-grandchildren, Zachary and Morgan Keable, Megan Trombley, Ralphie, Isabella and Antonio Donniacuo, Chase and Sophie Keable and Colin Favro. He was predeceased by his parents Noel and Evelyn Favro, his sister Elizabeth Wilson and great grandson, Alexander N. Favro. Calling hours will be Friday January 4, 2012 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Heald Funeral Home , 48 Court Street, Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 10:00 am from St. Peter’s Church. Interment will be in the spring at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
