Donald B. Bishop, 67 of Clayburg, NY, passed away at his home with his living family at his side, on Thursday, November 5, 2015.
Don was born on Nov. 23, 1947 in Tupper Lake, N.Y., the son of Mr. and Mrs, Herman and Rita Bishop.
Don was a well known musician/entertainer for the past sixty years, engaged in the North Country's venues, earning the respect of his fans and fellow musicians alike.
Don was an avid hunter/fisherman who enjoyed the outdoors with family and friends.
All who had the privilege of crossing paths with him, were left with zest, enthusiasm and a smile.
Survivors include: His true love Rachel Waldron, his son Timothy Bishop of Saranac, N.Y., daughter Amie Kogut of S.C., sister Barbara Rabideau of Morrisonville, N.Y., brother David Bishop of Rochester, N.H., sister Cynthia Dann of Phoenix, N.Y., granddaughter Rebecca Kuntz of N.C., grandson Joshua Knobel of N.C., granddaughter Rhonnie Bishop of Saranac, N.Y. and great grandson Cole Kuntz of N.C.
Predeceased: Mom and Dad, Herman and Rita Bishop of Tupper Lake, N.Y., sister Sandra Sharp of Morrisonville, N.Y. and sister Carolyn Fortier of Tupper Lake, N.Y.
Don had many nieces, nephews and cousins, (way too many to list)
Memorial Service will be held at Turnpike Wesleyan Church, 2224 Military Turnpike at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015, with a meal to follow, downstairs, immediately after.
