Diana M. Cox, 75, of Lewis, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 4, 2020 at her residence with her husband, Gary Cox and their fur baby, Mavis, by her side. Born on March 6, 1945 in the Bronx, she was the daughter of the late Juanita (Dickinson) and Philip (Leo) Claude.
Besides her parents, Diana was predeceased by her sister, Lillian Varga; her 3 brothers, Fred Saffert, Philip and Steve Claude; and her mother-in-law, Rita Cox.

Diana married Gary on March 19, 1994 and they lived a simple life. They (with Mavis) would spend most of their weekends at camp in Massena where Diana will be laid to rest.
Survivors include her husband of 26 years, Gary; her son, Caine (Kellie) Valentine of Moriah Center and their children, Mikenna, Declan and Boden; her step children, Heath (Sherry) Cox of Fort Myers, Florida, Tracy Cox of Parishville, Lacey (Greg) Weller of Brasher; and her sister-in-laws, Annie Claude of Milfred, Connecticut, Kay (Eddie) Carter of Peru, and Sally Burdo of Elizabethtown. She is also survived by several other grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid restrictions, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
