Curtis Mousseau

Curtis Steven Mousseau of Lewis, NY, passed away on July 11, 2024, at the age of 64. Curtis was born on October 21, 1959, in Elizabethtown, NY to Bernard and Rose Mousseau, and lived a life filled with love, dedication, and a passion for sports and the outdoors. He was a devoted husband to Holly, a loving father to Kurri, a wonderful step-father to Stephanie, Phillip and Desiree and a cherished grandfather to Regina, Natalia, David, Cooper, Jr., and Violet.

Curtis was a proud employee of the Town of Elizabethtown Highway Department for over 30 years, where he dedicated his time and skills operating heavy equipment. He was known for his hard work, dedication, and commitment to serving his community.

A huge sports fan, Curtis's love for the New York Giants was unmatched. He would often be found peeling potatoes for events at St. Elizabeth's while listening to a game on the radio. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, spending time by the ocean, especially at Myrtle Beach, and had a special place in his heart for animals and children.

Despite his distaste for snow plowing, Curtis continued his work diligently until retirement. Upon retiring, he found joy in drinking coffee at home and relishing in the moments of not having to plow the roads. His loyal companion, his dog Skippy, was always by his side, bringing him comfort and companionship.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Curtis is survived by his loving wife, Holly; his daughter Kurri Westover; step-children Desiree Boyle, Phillip Boyle, and Stephanie LaBarge; and his grandchildren Regina, Natalia, David, Cooper, and Violet; his siblings Jeffery, Eric and Danny Mousseau and his sister Lori Wildey

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Westport. Friends and family are invited to join in celebrating his life and sharing cherished memories at a reception at Wooden Nickle following the service at 1:00 p.m.

Curtis Steven Mousseau will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him. May his memory live on through the love and laughter he shared with those around him.
