Christine Dame

Sadly, our mother Christine Dame passed away on August 13th, 2023, after a long and
fulfilling life. She was predeceased by her parents, Donald and Mildred Dame, her
beloved twin Ernie Edwards, her sisters Cheryl Dame and Dana Lafountain, and her
brother John Dame.
Christine was a woman of many passions and a heart full of love. She had an infectious
enthusiasm for life and embraced her interests with zeal. A dedicated fan of the Beatles,
their melodies provided the soundtrack to her days, and she would often find joy
humming along to their tunes. Christine's love for music extended to lively karaoke
nights, where she fearlessly belted out her favorite songs and encouraged others to join
in the fun.
In the quiet moments, Christine would immerse herself in the gripping mysteries
showcased on the Investigation Discovery Channel. Her keen interest in solving puzzles
and uncovering hidden truths was a testament to her inquisitive nature. And, of course,
no day was complete without a refreshing sip of Pepsi, her favored companion in both
quiet contemplation and lively gatherings.
However, Christine's greatest source of joy was her family. Her boundless love and
unwavering devotion created a strong and nurturing foundation for her children,
grandchildren, and great-grandchild. She had an extraordinary ability to make each
family member feel cherished and valued, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts.
Christine is survived by her siblings: Celeste and Park Parker, Sonia Dame, Donna Dame,
Robin Graham, Terri and Jeffrey Beeching, and Debbie Laporte. She also leaves behind
her children: Jeremy Dame, Katryna Dame and Partner Andrew Phaneuf,Taunya
Whittington, Colby and Brad Weaver. Along with her many nieces and nephews. Her
memory will forever live on in the lives she has touched.
She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren: Savannah Lucia and her partner Anthony
Huntley, Zackery Dame and his partner Samantha Rafferty, Madeline Dame, Nicholas
Helmer, Olivia Weaver, Saleanna Marshall, Aiden Phaneuf, Alexander Barker Whittington,
Sajounna Barker Whittington, and Syrieanna Barker Whittington, as well as her
great-grandchild Aspen Dame.
A memorial service to celebrate Christine's life will be held on Monday, August 21st,
2023, from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at Heald Funeral Home, 48 Court Street, Plattsburgh NY.
As the Beatles once sang, "And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you
make." Christine's legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire us all. She will
be deeply missed by her family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing
her.
