Chester J. Wood, 77, of Mason Street in Morrisonville, passed away Friday July 25, 2014 at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He was born in Peru on June 25, 1937 to the late Alfred and Valeda (Seymour) Wood.
Chester worked for the Saranac Central School District as Head Custodian for over 20 years. He enjoyed working in his wood shop, camping, gardening, and spending time with his family, friends and Pugs.
Chester is survived by his companion of 13 years, Beverly Burl of Morrisonville, his siblings; Susan Campbell and her husband Sam of Morrisonville, Margaret Bishop and her husband Vernon of Lake Toxaway, NC., and twenty five nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by two brothers, Lester Wood and Lloyd Wood.
Calling hours will be from 5:00 to 7:00PM, Monday July 28, 2014 at Heald Funeral Home, 48 Court Street, Plattsburgh. A Graveside service will be ___AM Tuesday July 29, 2014 at St. Alexander’s Cemetery in Morrisonville.
