Charles Hall, 72, of Ticonderoga, NY, passed away peacefully on Tuesday June 2, 2020. He passed away at the Glens Falls Hospital, after battling with lung problems. He was born in Ticonderoga, NY on October 4, 1947, the son of Victor and Clara Rhodes.
Charles was a gentle, loving, kind, generous and thoughtful man who always had a heartwarming smile and a wonderful sense of humor. He always placed others’ needs before his own. His family always came first. Charles enjoyed cooking, hunting, fishing and woodworking. He got his first deer with his brother in law, Fred Johnson and nephew Andrew Johnson, who were dear to him. He also served in the National Guard for over 25 years and was a member of the American Legion in Ticonderoga.
He leaves behind his partner, Carleen LaRose of 42 years. He helped raise five children; Hnery LaRose, Ernest LaRose, Leo LaRose, Joey LaRose and Jolene LaRose. He always spoke of them as his own and they all loved him dearly. He is also survived by his brother Frederick Hall, sisters; Susan McCray, Marie Knapp, Beatrice Hollier and Vickie Trombley, his children include Scott Martin, Teresa Hall and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a brother Donald Hall, and two brothers in law Alvin Knapp and Lonny McCray.
A burial will full military honors will be at a later date in the Essex County Veterans Cemetery.
