Catherine Chapple

Catherine Jane Chapple, beloved mother, sister, aunt, daughter, and cherished member of the Plattsburgh community, passed away on May 18, 2024. She was born on January 11, 1966, and throughout her life, Catherine touched the hearts of all who knew her.

Catherine will always be remembered for her unwavering devotion to her daughter, Sherry LaBombard, and her commitment to spending quality time with her family and friends. She never missed a birthday or special moment, always ensuring that holidays were celebrated with joy and love. Catherine's selflessness and generosity were evident in the way she constantly put others before herself, finding true happiness in making those around her smile.

In her free time, Catherine found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved traveling, fishing, exploring yard sales, and thrift shopping. Spending time outdoors brought her peace, and she had a talent for cooking and baking, always delighting in preparing meals for her loved ones. Catherine also had a special bond with her cat, Jack, whom she adored.

Catherine was preceded in death by her parents Clifford Chappell and Beatrice (Page) Chappell; her sister Sandra Betters and her husband James; and her brother James Chapple.

She is survived by her daughter Sherry LaBombard and partner Shane Passino; her sister Carol Daniels and husband Clifford; brother Bruce Chapple and wife Dawn; brother David Chapple and wife Debbie; several nieces and nephews, cousins, and close friends.

Catherine's memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and the many lives she touched during her time here. May she rest in eternal peace, knowing that her kindness and love will never be forgotten.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the family's convenience.
