Beulah M. Venne, 86, of Cold Brook Road, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, Sunday July 30, 2017 at Meadowbrook Healthcare in Plattsburgh. She was born in Riverview on March 7, 1931 daughter of the late Mitchell “Mike” and Bernadette (Bailey) Wood.
Beulah was proud of her meager beginnings and often remarked how happy life was back then. . Beulah spent many hours researching genealogy and family history. She enjoyed gardening at home and the church, sewing, quilting, crocheting and ceramics.
Beulah’s passion was her family, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren. She was someone you could always go to and count on. Her grandchildren were a gift to her, and they were blessed to have her. She has left behind very fond memories they have shared with her. She will be missed deeply by old and young.
Beulah is survived by her children; Glenda Mazzotte and her husband Jim of Riverview, Michael Venne and his wife Jane of Riverview, Gale Fournia and her husband Richard of Redford, Gaye Chisholm of Riverview, siblings; Betty LaPierre of West Chazy, Ronald “Red” Wood and his Gail of Riverview, Lloyd Wood and his wife Ruth of Riverview, Greta Wood of Riverview, Shirley Charland of Chazy Lake, grandchildren; Jimmy John Mazzotte, Michael Venne, Jr., Megan Venne, Morgan Venne, Jessica LaClair, Travis Chisholm, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Francis Venne, a brother Victor Wood, grandson Richard Fournia and granddaughter Heidi Chisholm.
Calling hours will be from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday August 3, 2017 at Heald Funeral Home, 48 Court Street, Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Friday August 5, 2017 at Church of the Assumption in Redford. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
