Bernard C. Trombley, 82, of Golden Rd, West Chazy passed away on March 13, 2020 at The University of Vermont Health Network -CVPH surrounded by his family. He was born September 30, 1937, in Beekmantown, the son of William and Olive (Ayotte) Trombley.
Bernard married Geraldine (Kelley) in 1959 at St. Alexander’s church in Morrisonville. He worked at the D & H Railroad for 33 years up until his retirement in 1998. Bernard, lovingly referred to as “Pop” or “Fluff”, enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife Geraldine G. Trombley and his children Wayne (Tina) Trombley of West Chazy, Elizabeth (Scott) Haskins of Plattsburgh, Todd (Nellie) Trombley of Morrisonville, and Pete (Stephanie) Trombley of Morrisonville. He has several grandchildren: Patrick, Xavier and Noah Trombley; McKenzie Haskins and Chantel Davenport; Rasheed and Domenic Trombley; Alexis and Bryce Trombley; as well as numerous great-grandchildren. His brother, Francis (Lisa) Trombley of Vermont, and his sisters Bertha (Ernie) Smith of Ohio; Theresa (Gary) Gebo of New York; Marie (Wayne) Frenyea of New York; Margaret Sears and her companion Gary Breyette of New York. Bernard was predeceased by his parents, and siblings William, James, Michael, Kenneth, Winifred, and Linda Whitlatch.
At the request of the family there will be no calling hours. A mass of Christian Burial, for family only, will take place on Thursday, March 19 at 11:00 AM at St. Alexander’s church in Morrisonville, NY
Due to current circumstances the will be no gathering after the service.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Bernard’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the American Heart Association.
