Arthur Leonard Person, 70, of Essex, New York, entered into Eternal Life on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center. He was born on December 18, 1950 in St. Albans, New York, the son of the late William Edwin and Stella Marie (Appel) Person.
Art is survived by his wife, Gladys (nee Ericksen-Passaro), daughter, Carrie Person-Kutch of Odessa, Florida; grandfather of Joseph Kutch and Gabriel Kutch; stepfather of Linda Passaro Hannah and her husband, Derek, of Sandy Hook, Connecticut; Philip Passaro and his wife, Denise (Hanner) and two grandsons, Ryan and Justin of Watertown, Connecticut; and a niece, Doreen Sarro, of Cleveland, Ohio. He will be missed especially by his canine friends, Snow and Sergeant. He was predeceased by his sisters, Virginia Person and Gloria Person-Sarro.
He was a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corp, serving during the Vietnam War years.
He enrolled in a computer training institute following his discharge from the Marine Corp and pursued a radio frequency engineering career before moving to a farm in Reber/Essex, New York, where he re-established the farm’s sugar bush and worked to produce maple syrup.
