Anna D. Scato

Anna D. Scato, 103, passed away Wednesday July, 14, 2021 at Elizabethtown Community Hospital in Elizabethtown. She was born on April 27, 1918, in Patterson New Jersey, daughter of the late Anthony & Elsie Muccio.

Member of St. Raymond's Catholic Church, Bronx, NY, St. Joseph's Catholic Church Middletown, NY & St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, Elizabethtown, NY. She served in various church societies- Altar Society, President of Rosary Society, Chair for St. Patrick Day Committee, President of a division of the Miraculous Medal Society & a member of Counsel #4689 Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary. Anna was voted Senior of The Year in 1995, Officer of Senior Circle, Inc. and a member of ladies Auxiliary.
Volunteered in Bronx, Middletown & Elizabethtown, NY organizations-RSVP, Dispatcher for Volunteer Ambulance Corp, delivered Meals on Wheels, assisted at various nursing homes including Horace Nye.

Survived by daughters, Virginia Delia & Barbara Preuss & her husband Robert,
loving grandchildren (4) Great Grandchildren (6) & other family members.
All her wonderful friends who loved & cared for her. Augustine Scato, Anna's beloved husband of 65 years, preceded her in death, as well as her brother John & Arthur Muccio.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1:30 AM Saturday July 17, 2021 at St. Elizabeth’s Church in Elizabethtown. Burial will be at a later date and at the convenience of the family.
